Women & Mass Incarceration: The U.S. Crisis of Women and Girls Behind Bars

The Center presented this Summit to shine a light on mass incarceration in the U.S., specifically illuminating the dramatic consequences in the lives of women and girls.

Chancellor’s Professor Lecture by Michele Goodwin

Prof. Goodwin is a Chancellor’s Professor of Law at UC Irvine, an endowed position awarded to a very small number of professors across the campus who demonstrate unusual academic merit. She presented a lecture on “Reproductive Justice in An Era of Resistance.”

Forum: The Constitutional Implications of Ebola

The Center hosted a public forum with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Dean Erwin Chemerinsky and health experts to discuss how to balance the concern for public welfare with legal and ethical privacy principles.
